Newmont Village Expansion

Project Overview

Working closely with Newmont, Northern Transportables developed modern VIP accommodation, laundry and locker room facilities, with the overall project requirements aimed at accommodating up to 115 personnel.

The configuration comprised 28 four-person buildings, one three-person building, and three laundries and locker rooms.

The Location

Located in the depths of the Tanami Desert, the buildings were designed to withstand the harsh conditions and complement the existing structures.

Location-specific requirements, including environmental factors and the long journey to site, played a key role in the project’s planning and execution.

The Solution

Effective communication and collaboration between project stakeholders – including the client, designers, sub-contractors and project managers – were essential to ensuring the success of this project.
